Equine Massage Program
This is a 233 hour Holistic Equine Massage Program
Course Instructors
Maritza Meurer
Maritza Meurer has been a horse enthusiast since she was a young girl. She started taking riding lessons at 8 and by age 11, bought her first horse. She started riding western and loved the speed events! On day her riding instructor was sick and so she took a lesson from the English instructor and jumped her first jump. She was hooked! From then on, she perused Hunter/Jumpers and was quite competitive. After the show season, her horse Cosmic Dust was off and a little sore. Upon the vets recommendation, she had chiropractic work and regular massages scheduled for her jumper. What a difference it made! In 1994, Maritza decided to learn how to be a massage therapist herself. After much research, she took the Equitouch series of classes, and finally could give back to the horses that have given her so much over the years! Since then she has completed a double major of Equine Science and Equine Reproduction at Colorado State University. She now owns a boarding and riding facility and works full time as an Equitouch Horse Massage Therapist instructor.
