Jamie L. Roth, L.M.T., B.A.

Jamie is a founder and Director of the Ojai School of Massage. She received her degree in pre-physical therapy and liberal arts in 1985, and taught fitness for three years. While integrating her vision of holistic health into her massage practice, she is dedicated to furthering her knowledge of the healing arts for body, mind, and spirit. In taking on the administrative duties of this school, Jamie has focused her energies on enriching the curriculum and assisting students in discovering and actualizing their life work.

Nick J. Scott, L.M.T.

Nick is a founder, Instructor and Associate Director of the Ojai School of Massage. He graduated in 1986 from Desert Institute of the Healing Arts, one of the premier massage schools in the nation. In 1988 he graduated from Educating Hands School of Massage with additional training in Hydrotherapy. He then studied Chinese Acupressure and Dit Dar treatments with Augustine Fong, and went on to study Attentive Physical Transformation with Gregory Johnson. Nick has been presenting workshops and teaching massage therapy since 1989, and has taught advanced massage classes at Educating Hands School of Massage. Having spent eight years in a Tibetan Buddhist retreat center, he brings to his classes a unique blend of meditation and massage techniques.

"I believe that, for all living beings, the power of love is the most effective force for healing. Through a peaceful mind, the clear light of joy can shine impartially on all who suffer. My hope is to help pass on the knowledge of compassionate action that my teachers so kindly shared with me. Sherrie Bitts Dawkins

Sherrie is a professional aromatherapist, licensed massage therapist and owner of Cherubs Aromatherapy & Spa in Ojai, a shop specializing in customized aromatherapy and products to nurture body and soul, with an adjoining day spa. She also customizes aromatherapy treatments for local spas. She has regular speaking engagements regarding aromatherapy, gives workshops, has appeared in books, magazines and on television.

A practicing aromatherapist for six years, Sherrie received certificates with honors in introductory and advanced aromatherapy from Michael Scholes School of Aromatic Studies in Beverly Hills, and also studied with Kurt Schnaubelt and Jeanne Rose. She completed massage therapy training at the Body Therapy Institute and received a Counseling Certificate from the Human Relations Institute, both in Santa Barbara.

Alex Hillairet

Alex has obtained a biochemistry degree from Univertie De Provence in Marseille, France in 1997. He also has a 500 hour Massage Certificate and a 400 hour Aromatherapy Certificate from the Ojai School of Massage.He is currently attending the Masters Degree program in Oriental Medicine at The Santa Barbara School of Oriental Medicine. He also works at the Ojai Valley Inn as a massage therapist. Alex teaches the chemistry and some of the anatomy and phhsiology portions of our aromatherapy classes.
